Instant PotDuo 6 Qt 7-in-1 Electric Pressure Cooker

The Instant Pot Duo 6 Qt 7-in-1 Electric Pressure Cooker may suit someone who wants a practical way to handle tougher cuts without standing over the stove for hours. It also makes sense for a cook who values one appliance that can take on more than one job, especially if counter space is limited and simple weeknight cooking matters more than showy features.

The clearest reason to consider it is the pressure-cooking part of the design. Your note points to pork or lamb shanks, which are among the tougher meats people often want to soften and finish cleanly. Cooked in the Instant Pot, they fall off the bone. That is the kind of result that helps a pressure cooker earn its keep, because it changes how long-cooking meals fit into an ordinary kitchen routine.

The main thing to verify is whether the 6-quart size fits the way you cook. That capacity can be a good middle ground for many households, but if you usually make very small portions or very large batches, size is still worth checking before buying. The other point to compare is whether the seven functions match what you actually plan to use. A multi-function cooker only makes sense if enough of those modes will matter in your day-to-day cooking.

The evidence here is narrow but useful. The only grounded result in the notes is specific: pork or lamb shanks cooked in the Instant Pot become tender enough to fall off the bone. That supports the idea that this cooker is useful for tougher meat, but it does not justify wider claims about every recipe or every use case. A careful reader should treat that as a strong sign for braises and similar dishes, then look for more details if they want to judge other foods.

Taken as a category fit, this looks like a good match for someone who wants a pressure cooker for hard-working meals and values tender results from cuts that usually take patience. It may be especially appealing if your main question is whether a pressure cooker can handle shanks well. On the evidence provided, that is exactly the kind of job it seems built to do.
